Sweet, sweet summertime is quickly approaching in Washington, D.C. and you know what that means!

Jazz in the Garden: May 22 – Aug 28
National Gallery of Art, 6th and Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20565
Jazz, one of America’s oldest art forms, takes place at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden each Friday evening through August. Starting at 5:30 p.m., local musicians “take to the park” to entertain summertime visitors in the Capitol. If free and relaxing is what you want, look no further.

DC Jazz Fest at The Yards: June 12 – 13

As a part of the DC Jazz Festival, Yards Park will host a two-day party next to the scenic Anacostia River. Soul Rebels will perform on Friday and Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe winner Common headlines on Saturday. This family friendly event will feature chef demos, beverage demos and activities for the young ones!

Independence Day: Parade and ‘A Capitol Fourth’: July 4
As you might imagine, there’s no better place to celebrate America’s Independence Day than the nation’s Capitol itself. With a parade in the morning, a performance by the National Symphony in the evening, and an unforgettable fireworks show on the National Mall at night, DC will be the place to be come July 4th, 2015.

Foo Fighters 20th Anniversary Blowout: July 4

Looking to rock out on July 4th? The legendary RFK Stadium will be your spot. The Foo Fighters will be putting on a legendary show, featuring 20 years worth of head pounding rock-n-roll. The lineup will also feature Trouble Funk, Gary Clark Jr., LL Cool J, and of course there will be food and fireworks!

Taylor Swift at Nationals Park: July 13 & 14

Brew at the Zoo: July 23

Animals + sampling beers from over 60 craft breweries, what’s not to love? This annual event is not only a fun day of live music, lawn games, and animal demonstrations but also is a big contributor to animal conservation!
