Halloween is right around the corner! Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, there are always fun things to do in the D.C. area. Here are a few ideas for fun Halloween activities in close proximity to Bethesda:
Bethesda Central Market Halloween
On Sunday, October 30 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Bethesda’s main farmer’s market will hold its Halloween extravaganza. The event will include trick-or-treating, apple pressing, and a kids’ Halloween costume parade.
Night of the Living Zoo 2016
If you’re over 21 and looking for a ghoulishly good time with human and animal friends, check out Night of the Living Zoo. On October 28 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, attendees can enjoy live performances from odd and amazing entertainers, after-hours access to multiple animal exhibits, and a costume contest. Many popular local food trucks and breweries will be selling drinks and treats, including Chix N Stix, DC Empanadas, and The Big Cheese.
Halloween Haunt at Thomas Farm in Rockville
There’s Halloween fun to be had for the whole family at Thomas Farm Community Center on Saturday, October 29. Guests will enjoy a live magic show, the Squeals on Wheels petting zoo, a kid-friendly haunted room, crafts, pumpkin painting, and more. The event runs from 2:00 til 4:00 PM and costs $4 per person, but children younger than 1 are free.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind after a spine-tingling experience in D.C., the American Inn of Bethesda is the perfect destination. With comfortable rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi and easy access to downtown Bethesda and D.C. itself, there is no better place to stay on a Halloween trip to the Maryland or D.C. area.
