Georgetown Cupcake in Bethesda

Can you remember the best cupcake you’ve ever had?

If not, don’t worry because it’s in your future.

You know the all too familiar scene: a child’s birthday party, kids screaming for ice cream and your standard vanilla or chocolate cupcake with far too much icing for anyone over the age of 15. Well, what if I told you the cupcake game has been changed forever? Well then I would be talking about Georgetown Cupcake.

Georgetown Cupcake? Georgetown Cupcake! Located just .9 miles from American Inn of Bethesda, your taste buds are in for a local treat that has taken the nation by storm.

Georgetown Cupcake was started in 2008 by Katherine Berman and Sophie Lamontagne, now stars of the hit television-series DC Cupcakes on TLC, and has since expanded to New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Atlanta and our very own Bethesda, Maryland.

If you’ve seen the show, you know these are not your average cupcakes. The flavors range from Coconut to Peanut Butter Fudge and Salted Caramel to Gluten-Free Lava Fudge and that barely scratches the surface of selections. They sell for $3 each, $16.50 half-dozen, or $32 for a full dozen. Yummy AND affordable? Can’t beat that. You can browse the full menu (aka make your mouth water) here.

So the next time you are considering DC area hotels, keep American Inn of Bethesda in mind. If not for the awesome services, then definitely for the prime location near Georgetown Cupcake after a long day of exploring all of wonderful local attractions in the beautiful city of Washington D.C.!
