Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection, but it's also become ingrained in our culture as a time to be with family and friends. In the greater Bethesda area there are some cool events happening in honor of Easter, including egg hunts, crafts, and games for everyone in the family. 10th Annual Eggstravaganza At the Tudor Place Historic Garden in Georgetown, kids and adults alike will enjoy an egg hunt, egg roll, and a crafts station to create holiday cards for loved ones. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and mingle with the crowd. The Eggstravaganza takes place on the mornings of April 8 & 15, but tickets are only available for the event on the 8th. More information is available on the event website. Egg Hunt at Meadowside Nature Center On Friday, April 7 beginning at 10 AM there will be an egg hunt for kids at this verdant park in northern Rockville. After searching for the eggs in the meadow, children will dye them and enjoy other spring activities. Egg hunts happen all day on the 7th – register for a time slot on the event website. Restaurants serving Easter specials Besides the egg hunt and Easter Bunny, another tradition of the holiday is a nice family meal.
