9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back to the Bethesda, Maryland community, join with HandsOn Greater DC Cares and more than 5,500 community and corporate volunteers at the 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance on September 11, 2012. This year’s event marks the 11th anniversary of the National Day of Service and HandsOn Greater DC Cares will be honoring the victims, survivors and the heroic people who stepped in to help on September 11th by offering a day of service in their community. Volunteers will do everything from painting local classrooms and cleaning up parks to sewing quilts and reading to kids during this important one-day event that brings the community together for a variety of service projects at schools, non-profit organizations and community ventures that support important causes.
