If there was ever any doubt (there wasn’t) that D.C. loves its beer, these two events will have you believing again! That’s right, TWO events, on the same day nonetheless happening right here in our backyard. August 15th will certainly be a day to remember filled with craft beer, good friends, good food and even better times.
So here is the low-down on August 15th:
Capital Brew Fest
DC’s “best beer, wine & musical festival” is bringing more than 50 of the very best regional beers to Dock 5 at Union Market for unlimited tasting in one amazing day. There will also be 25+ wines and 10+ ciders, and you get to try them all! This event will happen rain or shine thanks to thousands of feet of indoor, air conditioned space along with a fantastic outdoor terrace for live music and soaking up a little sun while you beer. You are allowed to bring your own food and closed water bottles.
Tickets to Capital Brew Fest are going quickly, so we recommend buying them ASAP!
Capital Brew Fest will begin at 12:00 P.M. and run until 10:00 P.M.
Local Brews, Local Grooves
Presented by Washington City Paper and hosted at the Fillmore Silver Spring, this brew fest will have it all. Four bands, three DJs, and over 40 beers from over 18 breweries, both local and national. The brews will feature the likes of Brooklyn Brewery, DC Brau, Port City Brewing, Flying Dog Brewery and much more with breweries still being added!
Did we mention grub? Yep, there will be “beer worthy” food stations with menu items created by the beer loving chefs of the Fillmore Silver Spring. You HAVE TO try the pretzel bun brats, tacos, tots and loaded mac & cheese!
Doors open at 5:00 P.M. for general admission and 4:00 P.M. for VIP. You can purchase your tickets here.
Whichever beer-lovers festival you decide to attend, one thing is for sure, American Inn of Bethesda will provide you with the best service and location to experience all things Washington D.C. before and after the festival!
