Centered in beautiful downtown Bethesda, the seventeenth annual Bethesda Literary Festival will showcase the nation and local area’s best array of authors, journalists, and poets. Over the course of the weekend, attendees will be exposed to award winning works of literary art from both beginner and seasoned writers.
Beginning April 15th, visitors can experience three full days of classes and workshops, author discussions and readings, and much more. Authors such as Kate Alcott, Joanne Bamberger, Michelle Brafman, and David E. Hoffman are on the list of this year’s presenters. Be sure to visit the Downtown Bethesda website for a full list of festival events, complete author listing and bios, and other important festival details.
This year’s festival also includes the annual essay, short story, and poetry contests. Ages kindergarten through adult have entered to win upwards of $500 as the grand prize. The winners of each category will be announced at their respective ceremonies throughout the week.
